Grad Baskets

From the Youth Ministry . . . Grad Baskets

The Annual Grad Baskets Ministry has returned!!!

The Youth Ministry provides an empty laundry basket and you fill a basket with educational and daily living items necessary for those who will be attending school and setting up a new residence in the fall. Some of the items include: pens, pencils, and paper, folders and flash drives, bath soap and laundry soap, and every college kid’s favorite food, Ramen noodles! A complete list of suggested items can be found in each individual laundry basket.

Please pick up one (or more!) of 10 baskets from the lobbies of The Light House or The Sanctuary at the church. Each basket contains a list of basic needs, optional needs, and “ultimate” needs. These baskets need to be returned by June 4th to be distributed to our high school seniors. We respectfully ask that you not choose your own graduate to buy for nor to take your filled Grad Basket to any graduate’s home on your own. They will be distributed to our high school seniors at a breakfast in their honor.

These Grad Baskets are another great gesture from a very caring, giving church. They are also a great gift to parents who will be sending (and funding!) their kids to school later in the summer and fall.
If you have any questions, please call Robert Weatherall, Youth Minister or Marty Frensley Goble, YM Secretary at 352-683-2600 x2015.
